Bacterial Slide

We use a Phase Contrast Microscope to analyze the bacteria present in the patient’s mouth that reside under the gum tissue. All humans have bacteria, but there are certain bacteria that can cause periodontal disease. This simple test can be an excellent screening tool to determine if there are any destructive type bacteria present.
